São José dos Campos, February 23, 2011 – Embraer Executive Jets will participate in Avalon 2011, the Australian International Airshow and Aerospace & Defence Exposition, March 1-6, in Geelong, Victoria (www.airshow.net.au). The event will celebrate the centenary of Australia’s first passenger flight, and the tenth event staged at Avalon Airport, since 1992.
During Avalon 2011, Embraer, located at booth EN-D1, will showcase the award-winning Phenom 100 entry level, Phenom 300 light, and Legacy 600 super midsize executive jets in the Company’s largest static display in Australia, to date.
Embraer has been present in Australia since the EMB-110 Bandeirante went into service, there, in 1978. Today, the Company is extensively represented by a fleet of regional turboprops (EMB-110 and EMB-120), airliners (E-Jets) and executive jets (Phenom 100 and Legacy 600). Embraer’s portfolio of executive jets is composed of the entry level Phenom 100, light Phenom 300, super midsize Legacy 600, large Legacy 650, ultra-large Lineage 1000, as well as the midlight Legacy 450 and midsize Legacy 500, which are under development. These aircraft offer cabin sizes and flexible ranges that are well-suited to diverse demands, including private and corporate use, shuttle operations, or MEDEVAC missions.
Additionally, in order to cater to the needs of Embraer Executive Jets operators in the region, the Company appointed Australia’s ExecuJet, in January 2010, as an Embraer Authorized Service Center (EASC) to provide maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), as well as warranty, line and heavy maintenance services to Embraer Phenom 100, Phenom 300, Legacy 600 and Legacy 650 operators in the country. Also in 2010, Embraer invested in a full inventory of spare parts for its executive jets at the Regional Distribution Center in Singapore, for greater proximity and quicker turnaround times for replacement parts to customers in Asia Pacific. EASCs in India, Singapore, Indonesia, China, and Australia offer complete coverage for the expanded regional area. This coverage is complemented by a 24-hour Customer Contact Center at the Company’s headquarters in São José dos Campos, Brazil, which provides 24/7 assistance to all Embraer Executive Jets customers worldwide.
