Sustainability
Companies must evaluate their success based not only on their financial performance, but also with regard to their impacts on the environment and the societies in which they operate. Sustainable companies must be able to measure, document and report a positive return on investment considering these three aspects: economic, environmental and social.
A sustainable company is one that generates profit for its shareholders, while at the same time protecting the environment and improving the lives of those with whom it interacts.
Embraer recognizes that the success of its business is strongly tied to its environmental, social and financial performance towards its stakeholders (shareholders/investors, suppliers, clients, employees, partners, community, governmental and non-governmental organizations and the media, among others).
Embraer maintains important environmental programs, represented by its Environmental, Occupational Health, Safety and Quality Integrated Management System (SIG-MASSQ).
Embraer's goal is to satisfy its clients in the aviation market, with competitive and innovative solutions of high technological standards, aiming for the full satisfaction of their needs, maximizing results for shareholders and promoting the development of its employees and the communities in which it operates.
Every six months, all company units must send, to the CRA (Environmental Risks Committee), the environmental corporate indicators relating to liquid effluents, solid residues, atmospheric emissions, water and electricity and the score corresponding to its environmental performance evaluation according to the scoring criteria of the four groups of the environmental performance index.
