Cabin Comfort Inside Praetor Aircraft
--
Some passengers experience discomfort while flying due to the cabin’s air pressure. The higher you ascend, the less oxygen there is in the surrounding air, which can lead to hypoxemia – or altitude sickness – along with discomfort and fatigue.

However, adjusting cabin pressure can likely ease passenger distress. Embraer aims to provide the ultimate customer experience in business aviation, and this includes offering disruptive business jets that excel in performance, comfort and technology.
Best-In-Class Cabin Altitude
When you disembark from one of Embraer’s three business jets that have best-in-class cabin altitude, you will arrive with more energy than if you flew in any other aircraft in the same class. A lower cabin altitude will ultimately reduce discomfort on long flights among passengers and crew.
Passengers who fly in aircraft with lower cabin altitudes will have more oxygen in flight, thus avoiding the discomfort of hypoxemia (altitude sickness). The crew and everyone else on board are more comfortable and will arrive with less fatigue.
We took this into consideration while designing our business jets, and that is why three Embraer jets deliver the absolute best-in-class cabin altitude for their categories: the Phenom 300E light jet (6,600 feet), the midsize Praetor 500, and the super-midsize Praetor 600 (5,800 feet).
Take Cabin Comfort to the Next Level
It was recently announced that a series of breakthrough cabin enhancements were made for the Praetor 500 and Praetor 600, consolidating the Praetor position as the best cabin environment among all medium jets. In addition to the lowest cabin altitude, the HEPA filter is now standard on all Praetor aircraft. This filter alone captures 99.97% of bacteria, viruses, and fungi, ultimately providing fresher, cleaner air inside the aircraft.
Another enhancement announced was the use of MicroShield360. When applied to aircraft interiors, this preventative coating system continuously inhibits the growth of microbes on surfaces. This feature paired with the HEPA filter equates to cabin health that is unparalleled in the medium cabin segment.
Not to mention, every detail of the cabin was carefully designed with your comfort in mind. Superior craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail are evident throughout the elegantly conceived six-foot-tall flat-floor cabin – from the fully reclining design of the seats with full berthing capability to their optimal placement beside spacious windows. Take a 360 degree tour of the cabin here.
The new electric lavatory pocket door allows 100% of the Praetor aircraft to have the emergency exit in the lavatory — even those under FAA Part 135 operations. By moving the emergency exit to the lavatory, the cabin is further enhanced with a recognizably quiet and functional aesthetic.
