Airlink Resumes Regional Services

Cross-border restrictions for air travel have now eased in South Africa. Accordingly, Airlink, which operates the largest African fleet of Embraer ERJ’s and E-Jets is ramping up its regional flight schedule commencing October 5 and 12 Oct 2020. The first service will be a daily flight between Johannesburg and Harare.
The following week, Airlink will start flying 8 additional routes between Johannesburg and:
. Mozambique – Maputo, Pemba, Beira, Tete
. Namibia – Walvis Bay and Windhoek
. Zambia – Lusaka, Ndola
. Zimbabwe – Bulawayo
Airlink intends to announce additional regional destinations, including cities in Botswana, Uganda, Tanzania, Angola, Congo, Madagascar, Lesotho, and Eswatini, in the coming weeks.
The airline’s 37 to 98-seat Embraer jet fleet is ideally suited to meet the resurgent demand for air travel in South Africa after the government mandated the suspension of flights earlier this year.
