Embraer and ALADA Sign Agreement to drive new Business Opportunities in Latin America and Africa
abril 07, 2026
Santiago, Chile – April 7, 2026 – Embraer (NYSE: EMBJ/ B3: EMBJ3) and ALADA – Empresa de Projetos Aeroespaciais do Brasil S.A., signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) today at FIDAE to evaluate and explore potential business opportunities in the defense and security market in negotiations requiring government-to-government contracts (G2G, in English). Recently, ALADA was designated by Brazil’s Ministry of Defense as an entity authorized to carry out G2G procurements for the benefit of the Defense Industrial Base.
“The signing of this memorandum will identify and explore potential opportunities in the defense market, enabling countries that require government-to-government contracts to access a new negotiation option for the acquisition of Embraer products and solutions,” said Fabio Caparica, Vice-President of Contracts at Embraer Defense & Security.
"The G2G export is an unprecedented business model in Brazil, in which ALADA plays a strategic and decisive role, opening new market opportunities for aerospace products, services, and projects — with special emphasis on those coming from the Defense Industrial Base," said Sergio Roberto de Almeida, President of ALADA.
“Operations like this are fundamental to stimulating and strengthening the export of defense products manufactured in Brazil, lending institutional credibility to negotiations, benefiting the Defense Industrial Base, and expanding access to new international markets,” says the Secretary of Defense Products, Heraldo Luiz Rodrigues.
The signing of this MoU comes at a time when Embraer is expanding its operations in strategic markets across Latin America and Africa, while maintaining an active dialogue with authorities and government representatives. Embraer’s highlights in the defense industry include the KC-390 Millennium — the most modern military transport aircraft in its class — and the A-29 Super Tucano, a global leader for light attack, armed reconnaissance, and tactical training missions, both of which have won over operators worldwide.
